Career Profile

Software engineer with extensive experience building high-traffic Internet platforms and collaborating with multicultural, interdisciplinary teams around the world. Comfortable working fully remotely using modern online collaboration tools.

I've been coding since 1990, starting with Basic on my first PC (an AT 286 at 20 MHz with 2 MB RAM and a 47 MB hard drive). I built my first website in 1996—a riddles and puzzles site hosted on Geocities.

Since 2020, I’ve been developing Web3 applications using tools such as Scaffold-ETH, Solidity, Hardhat, ethers.js, Viem, and related technologies.

Throughout my career I’ve worked with a wide range of programming languages, including Pascal, C/C++, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Ruby. I started using Ruby in 2006, during the rise of Ruby on Rails, and it has remained my favorite web development language.

While I gravitate toward backend engineering, I’ve built end-to-end web applications—implementing the backend, designing the frontend with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, and developing the UX with JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js, and React. I value usability-centered design and enjoy Jakob Nielsen’s work on UX.

I also have strong sysadmin knowledge, primarily with Ubuntu/Debian. Over the years I’ve managed physical and virtual servers, as well as deployments on Heroku, Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS (including S3, CloudFront, EC2, Route53, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Cognito).

I have deep expertise with relational databases—especially MySQL and MariaDB—and performance optimization. I’m also experienced with NoSQL databases, such as Redis, MongoDB, CouchDB, and Neo4j.

My career has spanned support, IT security, system administration, software development, and CTO roles, giving me a broad and integrated understanding of the entire IT landscape.

I also have experience in online marketing, having managed AdWords campaigns totaling 30M+ monthly clicks. I developed automation tools using the AdWords API to optimize campaigns and generate new keywords based on monetization data. I’ve also managed Facebook and LinkedIn ad campaigns.

I enjoy machine learning and data science with Python. As a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, I teach these topics, and my students participate in Kaggle competitions as part of their final projects.

I’m always eager to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies. I’m self-driven, curious, and passionate about continuous learning.
